Community Standards

  • Keep comments relevant to the article or the discussion already in progress.
  • Challenge ideas with substance and courtesy; personal attacks, harassment, threats, and hate speech are not welcome.
  • Do not post spam, repetitive promotions, deceptive links, impersonation, or content that violates another person's privacy or intellectual property.
  • Avoid publishing sensitive personal information, including your own. Comments are public and may be indexed or shared.

Moderation

  • Comments may be reviewed before or after publication and may be removed when they do not follow this policy.
  • A comment may be held as pending by automated spam controls or for manual review. Please do not submit duplicates while waiting.
  • Discussions may be closed when moderation is no longer practical, the conversation has run its course, or abuse is persistent.
  • Repeated or serious violations may result in a commenter being blocked. Moderation decisions are made to protect a useful, welcoming discussion.

Disqus and Your Data

  • Comments are provided through Disqus. Its terms, privacy policy, account controls, and community rules also apply when you use the comment feature.
  • You remain responsible for the content you publish and should use Disqus account controls to edit or remove your own comments where available.

  • If your comment remains pending or you believe it was removed in error, contact the site owner with the article URL and your Disqus display name.
  • Constructive feedback about this policy is welcome and may inform future updates.
